custom exhaust question

Weve got a muffler shop that does mandrel bends and I want to get a system. so, are there any knockoff apex N1 mufflers? also, what would help me get a nice deep growl? thanks for the help..

I think that OBX makes a muffler that looks like the N1.

Those are the ones that I plan to use eventually.

I believe the "chainsaw" sound comes from the pacesetter header. Have you heard the sound yourself or just going by what people say on here? My friend has them and they do give a high-pitched sound, very loud. If you want a header buy racing beat.

Headers are for N/As!!!

Unless its a turbo header, but I believe those are mostly stainless steel.

The high-pitched tone is not from a header, its the natural sound of the Wankel Rotary (porting changes the tone, makes it higher I think)

I have heard the N1 gets most of the deep tone from its megaphone piping. Are megaphones the answer? Id really like to know.

My bad didn't even ask what car he was referring to. Ya rotaries do have that little metal sound to the exhaust. In turbos though, you don't hear it so much. I think higher quality(thicker) piping helps to get rid of it though.
