cubby hole makes for a nice phone holder. maybe a hole on the back side to run USB/lightning connector through for a well hidden charger

I'll let the "ESTIMATE" stay up to give the Idea for those with prospective interest.
(members can't edit after 30 minutes)

I let it stay as it is not etched in stone and no formal Finished product is being produced yet.

If you want to hash out prices then you can do so by PM,But the estimated price gives the guys an idea of what you are looking at when they go to PM you.So you won't get constant PM's about "how much is this".

Good Luck to you.

Greatly appreciated - Styx Good idea on the charger but it'll only save a penny or two and if I don't put the hole, buyer can decide and drill - Drift

Blank

All sit in perfectly if you ask me. They clip in and don't let go unless you unhook them like you typically would on the OEM piece

In addition to that. It took me using a pair of needle nose pliers to get this thing off of the center console LOL however I have to redesign the clips a little make them a tad bit thinner and less wide and the end, but once I do that in order my next one I believe I will be ready to start actually selling them and get a vendor account

Too bad this isn't practical for an S5 vert.

And before someone asks, the S5 vert has the mirror controls, top up/down switch and fog light switch in the center console. To make this work, one of those would need to relocate.

If your headrest speaker amplifier still works and you wanted to keep that, you have an even bigger problem.

Send me some photos. I designed one to hold a suspension switch which is the same one as the vert switch I believe. But I could always put the cupholder in front of the switches if the amp is behind. Either way if you send me photos I can try.

PS a dremel can relocate a switch. That power mirror switch doesn't get used all that much. Check what I did when I made that prototype

I am still drinking coffee, but I can get you a photo later today. Btw, I love those router bits for the dremel, used to use that all the time at work (lost me jerb ). Sucker can get away from you though.

As far as the headrest speaker controls, it would be impractical to relocate them. It would either be a case of keep it or ditch it.

I may have found a way to save a few bucks and cut the shipping time literally in half. Essentially cutting me out of the mix. I will also be making the blank pieces that take place of the switches

Lots of fresh ideas and they will all soon be available. Looking to see if anymore are interested. Hashing out the details on a vendor account and ordering the second prototype (this one is 100% for testing the corner radii the clip sizes and clip spacing. If it's a success early November will see a group buy!!!!!!!

Blank Spots

Another hopeful candidate. these can come in an array of styles. the original, then I will make one with centered holes in many different sizes for those who want to cleanly mount switches. again if i get the support I will go vendor and these will be fairly cheap seeing so they're small!

These are the infamous blanks that many people already use from Mazda, not the rarest items I will admit but a pain the butt to drill a hole down the center. Here you will be able to get them in any size from 1/16" through 3/4". the larger sizes will have cut outs in the rear to accommodate clamps (see the 3/4" rear shot)

Please let me know when these go on sale.

Count me in for a cup holder, and possibly a cover or two depending on pricing.

Final prototype in. I'm going to order an actual panel this week. Install it. Take a few photos and then start selling to the public

The clips are now functioning 100% like stock. They clip in with ease and can be removed with slight force! very excited

Still in for option 1 as well. Also, if you want some ideas for a gauge holder version, I can send you some pics of the one in my car.

It's really cool to see people pioneering cool stuff for FC's even though they're 20+ years old. If I had anything of a console left in my FC, I would definitely be into this.

Way rad dude, I hope you keep this awesomeness up.

Thank you dangerous. I'm glad people like the idea! And consoles are easy to come by nowadays just messing. I appreciate all the feedback everyone has given. As an update I'm working on the final model changes as we speak and I just found out about a company that prints 3D locally. I am going to take a trip next week to see if they are able to make my final model and if they'll take orders so that I can make them even cheaper and cut down on the time it takes to get to people! No promises, the parts that I am getting now are great quality and I won't sacrifice that for a few bucks.

Would it be possible to get one made to hold an ipod with a hole in the bottom for a hidden auxilary cable? Id like the factory switches with the ipod dock. Seeing as I dont allow food or drink in my car and ipod dock would be cool to have with the aux cable hidden underneath the center console for FC & FB

Would you want the iPod vertical or laying flat? Laying flat would be as simple as making a tray and having the wires in there
