Curious TPS resistance reading

Here's the story:
89 vert with S5 JDM 13B swapped with N/A harness modified. I had problems in the past with a poorly spliced wiring to the TPS harness. Link to that thread

Last night I was testing my TPS resistances and the narrow range is in spec with the FSM (pg. 81, in Ch F2). Full range is the curious part. Closed it's within spec....but WOT it reads a little low at 2.71 when I move the throttle at the TPS. But if I move the throttle on the backside of the TB where the throttle cable connects, then the full range and WOT reads at 4.1.

Before I spend money or time either getting another TPS or simply replacing the full range TPS sensor I thought I'd ask advice. There is a spring under the full range TPS sensor that has a small nut on top of it (6mm). Can I adjust the full range sensor with this nut and spring? Is the difference in readings on the full range sensor from front of the TB and back of the TB a result of the TB throttle system simply being out of alignment and causing the sensor to read differently?

I've never messed with the throttle linkage or butterflies in the TB and thought asking advice would be best before I start mucking around and make things worse rather than better.

bump before heading to work

some advice from the gurus would be much appreciated. this weekend I hope to have time to take the UIM and TB off, remove some emissions stuff and check out the throttle.
