I work as the receptionist for a health club in midtown manhattan. I work weekends, and fail classes at Stony Brook University during the week. I make 125 dollars.

40% for gas (thats $50!!!!!! a week)
12.8% for insurance (800/year under my moms name)
10% for cell phone bill

That leaves a grand total of 43.xx to spend on my car each week (i can't wait till summer!)

I'm 23 and in need of some direction as far as what I want to be when I grow up.

I'm a lot tech at a Mazda Dealership. A good chunk of my monthly income goes to bills, whatever is left goes to the cars. I get a tiny discount on new parts which sucks ***, the only real perk of the job is that occasionally a 7 will come in with a bad motor and the customer will usually either abandon it, or want to sell it real cheap. I pick 'em up, take what I need, and sell the rest.

I do home theaters and home audio. Design, building, programing, and installation.

Some of the theaters we've done are freaking crazy! With the ammount of money people spend on just a theater I could buy myself a couple FD's and make them go really fast

Most of my money goes to bills (lots and lots and lots of debt from my younger, wilder days:P), but I sneak a performance part as often as I can

Work as a government contract employee.... basically, I scan or code and quality check classified documents for the government..... decent pay at $13+ and hour, but the trouble comes when work runs out..... then it's lay-off time for everybody... (it's lucky that i'm one of the last few left at work.... XD) So far, it's like 20% to home needs (still live at home till my two friends get their **** together and I finish at least stage 1 of my mods), 50% to bills ($180 for insurance per month for a 87 Accord and $100 or so per month for cell phone), and 30% to the 7... No savings at all... lol, gotta try and change that.....

Edit: OH NO!!! I've been laid off as of 1:03 PM.... Ironic, no? XD
