yeah, like the title says... i did a search, didn't find anything in the 2g forum... so, what kind of work do you do...? and maybe if you could include about how much (% wise) of your income goes towards your fc...?

Cable Splicer (I am qualified to splice copper cable and fiber optic cable) for Pacific Bell in good old San Diego, California

The % of dollars spent depends on what cool new things I can find that particular pay day, but I got paid today, so I am going to pickup a new AL flywheel, ACT clutch kit and I just ordered a CF radiator panel from Mazdaspeed7.

With the rest of my paycheck, I am going to go look at a TII locally that the guy is only asking $2300 for, so I better take cash. It only has 93K on it!

coder

I just write code all day - if I hadn't just moved out - I could probably drop 2k a month on my baby - but oh well I need my own place.

Oh man I totally forgot to tell you guys about my niffty purchase. Ok well I spent damn near 2k for an engine, and for someone to drop it in. Turns out the motor was bad, and I figured I'd just go with a rebuilt. That morning I looked in the recycler online and happened to find a 87 turbo for 1500. I was thinking more then likely it's sold, but I called and the dude said it was still available. Long story short, I got a 87 rx-7 turbo with 25k on a rebuilt (needs starter, and master cyc.) for 1500. I had the biggest smile on my face as I was driving her home. I'm now in the process of buying the starter, and master cyc. and sending it off to get a tune up before I do any mods.

Ok my little story is over - hope it made someone happy - I know I sure as hell am.

rico, how do you manage to get student loans for a car? don't you have to show need for the student loan? and if you need the student loan, how much of it can you actually afford to use on your fc(s)

heh, i work retail at the mall of america, but it's really just about all I can get considering I'm just close to 17 years old :/ I basically have been putting ALL of my money into my FC for the past year (since I have started driving/got my license) I have done a fair amount to it, and I think I am almost ready to take a break from modding it, just after I do a few easy mods I can do myself, such as porting it.

I'm a PC technician and I just graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington. Two days after I graduated I got a job programming user interfaces for banks in Texas, North Dakota, Mass., and a couple places in Europe. I start that job on Monday. So I guess when I'm home that will be the only chance I'll have to play with my FC.

I joined the military part time (Air National Guard) and my one weekend a month pay covers the insurance... when I am in school with a full semester I get some good $$$ from uncle sam for school, and my parents are helping me pay for school, so I spend it on my car :-D

UHm, I was laid off last year this time, so I just decided to work on rx7s for a living, since I have played with them for 4 years peior to this, and here I am. I was worried there wouldnt be enough demand to keep me up, but then I started selling engines and Im doing ok now.

A/C parts distributor/salesperson. I sit in an office all day at the computer (obviously). I get paid to post on RX7club.com!

Percentage on the FC? Seems I spend about 60% on life (food, gas, GF, video games ) and *try* to invest about 10%. The last 30% goes to the credit card I put all my FC parts on.

I sell cell phones and make a decent amount per week. The thing is when you live at home you have (well maybe me) nothing else to pay. So for example 90% of check last month went into my car cuz i had nothing else to pay.

Kevin,
I'm glad to hear the rebuilding business is good. I was thinking a bit about getting my business degree and starting a RX-7 tuner shop/parts distributor in Richmond. Thinking, mind you. I have a year or two to go.
