So my cruise control has never worked on my 89 vert (auto) and i was digging around in the bay today and noticed the cable is not attached at all.

It still has the end piece on so i ruled out it snapped, but now i can see squat in the dark even with a light and was wondering if someone had a picture of an S5 cruise control cable mounting location on the throttle body.

I checked online and Aarons post about adding cruise control picture only pointed to the general vicinity and i would just like an actual picture of the area

also if this was not attached and i pushed the set button then the resume button why would it down shift ? just asking because all this time i thought i had a bad switch lol

Alright i got the cable on with some scraped knuckles and lots of dropping the light but it feels like there is slack in it.

Any way to adjust ?

is there a procedure such as when warm or cold etc ? Im going to test out if its ok as is on the drive home tonight so wish me luck lol
