Cruise control after manual swap
Cruise control after manual swap
Completed my manual swap a bit ago, and now my cruise doesnt work. I know its a result of the car not being in "Drive", but cant seem to find a way to fool the cruise ecu into thinking that I am indeed in gear. Looking at the wiring diagram, I believe its something to do with the B/R wire on connector F-52, OR the B/G wire on the same connector. What exactly do I need to do to these wires to get my cruise working again?
Look at the wiring diagram for the "Starting & Charging System." One wire from the cruise control connects to this unit although your problem could likely be caused by something else.
Bringing this back from the dead.... I just did a manual swap aswell and now my cruise doesnt work anymore either. Did you figure out what you needed to do to make it work again? Do i just plug back in the automatic control unit? None of the write ups i read ever mentioned doing anything to make the cruise work again.

bringing this all back up again... looked at the s4 wiring diagram, found the one wire running from the 4EAT comp to the cruise computer. Disconnected it, still no cruise. Any ideas?
You say the circled wire was detached. Which end (has two of them) was detached. Was it one end only or both ends? And it's obvious that your car is an S4. Correct.
Also, what does pin 1L (Yellow/Blue wire read at the ECU w/key to on and the clutch depressed (should read 12 volts) and when the clutch is not depressed (should be less than 1.5 volts)?
And there are two stop light switches. One is on the brake pedal while the other one is to the right of it near the circuit opening relay. It houses only two wires, one being Black/Yellow and the other being a Yellow wire. W/key to on and the brake depressed it, the Yellow wire, should read 12 volts (B/Y wire has 12 volts w/key to on). Also, check the voltage w/the clutch is depressed and take that reading as well.
