Leave it alone til you get through with your trip. It works, just marches to the beat of a different drummer.

P.S. I added a jpg to my other post above, of the two switches.

A little off topic. I once had the button in the end of the lever did not work. I had to remove the switch from the car. Looking at the FORWARD side of that lever, there was a small set screw. Removal of it showed a small ball/bee bee and a set of contacts that make/not make when the button is depressed. I dressed those contacts up and it worked again. I'm not sure it that is related to your problem. More of a FYI than anything.

My switch looks like the one on the right...rounded face and not textured like the LH one (although that switch looks like it went through a fire...).

Going to try mixing/matching components this morning...I've marked the switch/computer that worked yesterday and can always go back...
