crazy temp\cold bogging

hey,
My heat was kind of dying off, so I decided I would flush my radiator system. All went well, I got most of my heat back and cleaned A LOT of crap out of my system. The car was also running really nice then. Temp stayed around the 25% mark. Now last night, I decided to do a 110 mph run on the way home from the skatepark. Well I did the lil run, and didnt really give the car a cool down, but rather pulled in my driveway (had to pick up friends rx7 for fixing), let the car sit for around.....say like 10 minutes tops, and went to leave. I noticed the temp jumped up a bit past the 75% mark (probably up to as high as 85-90%).

So I let the car sit and cool for as long as I could while we worked on my friends fc. When I left the temp seemed a little bit higher than normal but nothing to really get worried about.

Now the odd part. I was driving to work today (granted I didnt get to give the car the proper start up) and at first the car was running fine. Then about 1.5-2 miles later, the car was having an odd bog. It would hesitate at 3k, then would take a lot to get it up to 6k rpm's. I also noticed that the temp was rising a bit too. So I tried revving it up again and actually got it up to redline. After that, the bogging\hesitation away, but the temp was up close to the 70% mark. So I drove faster, got the car up to like 70mph. As i was going faster, the temperature was dropping. By the time I got to the shop, the temp was back to normal and it was running fine.

Any ideas on what is going on here? I shoudl note that I did put a new thermostat in it a few weeks ago.

Andrew

http://www.aaroncake.net/rx-7/cooling.htm to start with.

Make sure you used a Mazda thermostat. All others suck.

Do the "bubble test" (search) to find out if you may have a broken o-ring.

yeah, it was a mazda t-stat. It is definitely the fan. The thing is not pulling air at all. I'm wondering.....When i flushed my system, a lot of water sprayed all over and the fan was making a lot of noise. I probably killed it then, but whatever. I'm going electric tomorrow (tattoos get put off yet another week...). Thanks for the help
