Cranks, No Start

This is a good thread, I swapped a turbo2 engine to my toyota and the engine was running fine but somehow a short circuit happened and melted a few wires and now the car wont start. Most of the wires were replaced and still the engine is not firing up, looks like I dont have spark at the coils (will make sure of this).

What I noticed is that the ECU gets really HOT when I crank the engine with no luck in getting it fire up, does this means that my ECU went bad or something ???

Sorry to hijack this thread but I have the same issue now that Crank but no starts.

The ECU and Leading coils were bad.

Car now starts.

After buying new ones.

I didnt. had Brynn do it. Would have bought the ECU and Coil from him anyway since I knew they were bad.

yah. i knew something was up, i just couldn't quite put my finger on it at all.

its rare for coils to go bad so i ruled it out immediately.
