Factroy Peripheral port engines, usually crack a little bit. Small barely hair line ones. For street driven cars, this is'nt good. The motor has probably had at one point it time had the wrong tempature spark plugs in it, or been marginally over heated for long periods of time. You can reuse them, if they are in as good as condition as you claim, and they check out to specks. But sometimes its better to be safe than sorry. Also, how much chrome flaking is there? CJ
