Question Of course it's a dumn idea to ponder but...!

I wonder, and would appreciate advice/ideas for a 250hp non turbo s5 build. Is it doable?

Doable - Yes.

Practical/daily drivable.. Probably not. Remember - Mazda hasn't even pushed the Renesis that high 20yrs later.. Though it might be possible with one of those and some light to moderate mods. But you'd spend way more than on a turbo setup ^_-

200 is doable with massive porting, intake, headers with full exhaust and custom intake manifold.. you might be a bit over 200 but not 250.

People have made over 200 but as said before, it drops the practicality a lot. Car would be a high rpm BEAST.

Past 180-190 I think turbo becomes more practical. And if you aren't going NA to be practical, why are you doing it?

OP, once you start going above 200hp, money spent on engine work "all motor mods" goes up fast.

RE: previous link (didn't see video yet): 290kW = ~ 389hp

Biiiiig street port, adjustable fuel and timing, and a tuned exhaust system and you could do 200.
