couple of modding questions

how do you port a tb elbow?? i was reading in the archives and it said somthing about porting a tb elbow? how can u do that isnt that plastic? do they mean like replacing it with a metal pipe? and i have 2 other questions... how does perihrial port work?? i heard its better than a street port. and should i get 2 msd ingnition on my 89 gtu? was does that do also? srry im a newb to this stuff but i wanna kno wut it does b4 i go ahead and put it in my car.

Remember, the search button is your friend.

I believe a peripheral port should be mainly track only, due to the size of the ports, it wouldn't be good to use on a street car. You'd lose a lot of driveability.

MSD ignitions are multiple spark dischargers. They make a longer burning spark, and send out shorter, but more, sparks per cycle. While there is some controversy about them, typical belief is that they increase gas mileage slightly, and make a better running engine.

in some animations, waste spark was shown. Ive never seen that before?

Any engine can be driven on the street, the question is whether you'd want to. They are practically useless unless you're at high revs, and require an exhaust system likely to get you thrown in jail. It's a race engine.

Waste spark is very common on all types of cars. It means you only need half the number of coils and half the number of ignition driver circuits in the ECU, saving money. All 86-02 Mazda 2-rotors use it (but not Renesis for some reason). Waste spark can only be used on the leading plugs of 2-rotor engines. It can't be used on the trailing plugs (study the animation to find out why) or 3-rotor engines.

well i live in florida. we have no emissions here. ( that i kno of) people over hear have load *** exsaust. they dont care. cops stop u but if they want to. not alot tho. i was think of having true dual exsaust and then make my pipes go behind my rear wheels! that **** will be loud!!!! but i wanna see how loud it will be.
