a couple idle problems, and some Q's

okay off the bat i have an 88 FC na and it idles pretty high about about 1600rpm. it didn'y used to idle that high before but once i removed my intake manifold and scraped out all the carbon build up and wiped it clean and installed with high temp gasket maker tighten everything made sure everything was pluged in right so theroy wise it should of worked better or the same. but now my car idles at 2000rpm in the mornings, and 1500-1600rpms during the day. i went back under the hood and sparyed carb cleaner around the vaccum lines and intake to see if there was a vaccum leak but i found nothing. i adjusted the idle screw on UIM, and fiddled with the screw by the TPS and still no luck. when i messed with the one by the TPS my idle started going up then down then up and down continously. and the idle screw on the UIM is all the way down, and when i go up it idles even higher. so im competely out of ideas.

can anyone help me?

Check your timing and your variable resistor (I think, I'm an S5 guy). But timing for sure. Not sure why it would change on you like that. Who knows.
