I bought an fc coupe with weird aftermarket mirrors a ive been looking for some oem ones for sale in my area. I found some one parting out a convertible and I noticed that the door looked different. Are the coupe mirriors the same as the ones on the convertible.

 

Coupe and convertible mirrors are the same but S4 (86-88) mirrors are different from S5 (89-91)

Your weird aftermarket mirrors may be worth something. If you post pics the community can probably tell you what they are.

 

When I say weird and aftermarket I mean universal and don't fit right because they're universal so they're not worth anything. Also I'm pretty sure I've seen the same ones at autoAuto for $20.

in the USA the mirrors are like this:

the S4's have a black square-ish mirror, it came in manual and power versions.

the S4 Turbo, convertible, and 88 GTU get aero mirrors, and these are body color.

the S5's all got a body color aero mirror.

in Japan they got a big square folding mirror. they came in power and manual. the folding part is always manual.
