its my understanding of the factory door mirrors there are 6 different types

The 86-88 manual mirror (no hole, biggest mirror/reflection area) this came stock only as black plastic).

The 86-88 power mirror (same as manual style, just with power) (this came stock only black).

The 87-88 T2/GTU power mirror style (same over all shape as the manual mirror mentioned above, except for a vent hole in it near the pillar)sometimes confused with the later aero mirror.

The 89-92 Aero mirror. Standard on all series 5 cars. A more rounded larger vented and taller version of the earlier T2/GTU vented mirror.

The Jspec manual mirror. Simular to the manual mirror mentioned above, but not as aerodyamic and with a spring loaded design so that if the mirror hit something it springs back or forward as needed.

The Jspec power mirror. same as above, just power version.

Then aftermarket there are a couple:
The granador, which are about $300

The Runs, which are just under $1000:

The non-powered and powered RE Amemiya type 1
which run around $450 and $580 respectivly
and the Type 2
also around $450 and $580 for non-powered and powered versions.

Does anyone know if the Granador mirror can be connected as a electric mirror?

One of my friend's car has the Jpec "bump" mirrors. They look cool, but are a paint to see out of.

BTW - this is a j-spec import savanna TII convertible with bodykit. Very nice.
