Could a clogged/dirty fuel filter cause detonation?

I'm looking for the source of what i think is detonation at WOT

Even using 94oct gas it still happens! And in cold weather to boot... very frustrating..

I'll get on it, and as it's accelerating I'll hear whats best described as 'hiccups'.

Never did it before until the day I dynoed the car. Happened there and freaked me out and now ever since.

Besides detonation, what else could something like that be?

And if it is detonation, what steps should I take to cure the problem?
Plugs
Wires
Fuel pump voltage
Fuel Filter
??

Yes, a clogged filter could cause detonation as it could reduce flow....You are still on the stock injectors, so you're right at the edge of their capability if you are pushing 205 RWHP (maybe 240 flywheel?). Dyno again with a wideband and observe your A/F ratios...You'll probably find you're lean.

already dynoed with a wideband and my a/f ratio was pretty solid at around 11.5-12

you can see in the sheets where the problem happened.. its the gaps where the reading was lost.. as you can see there wasnt any change in a/f when that happened and temp on the IC was 80 degrees (had it iced down)

I should have been smarter about this but I've been so busy lately I havent had time to correctly address the problem. I'll run a voltmeter from the fuel pump as well as replace the plugs/filter/wires and see if that helps.

Besides magnecor is there any other alternatives for good wires?

If you've never replaced the fuel filter then you should do it just as a matter of routine maintenance.
