Also does it rev to 8k like the rew?

Can a microtech lt-10 control the sequential twinturbos?
And does an s5 turbo manifold/turbo fit on cosmo re's and rew's?

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the cosmo re have the biggest ports? Definitely search around, this has been covered before.

Yes it has been covered a few times. The reason people use the the RE cosmo block is the huge runners and intake ports. Althou not as developed as the REW block. The RE is the choice for drag or high bhp motors. You would have to change out some parts from the RE motor and of course new/customed motor mounts.

hit the search for more info

it only has the biggest runners, the secondairy ports on the cosmo engine with the exception of the runners are identicle to FD, the primariy ports are significantly smaller.

The cosmo probably wasn't intended to rev ps 6500 rpm, it only came as an auto, has 3 window bearinings (vice FD 9 window) and has lower oil pressure

Damn-- not as developed as the rew?

Thats what im looking for. I guess i will go with the rew. do to more development and 8k redline. mostlikely a stronger block.
And it sucks that microtech cant run the sequentials...
WHy would i want to know if s5 mani/turbo fit twinturbos re's? because i have a bnr stage 3 i could use-- since im only in search of 350 whp reliably.

I need to search on swapping the rew into 2nd gens.

That last generation Cosmo was from 1989 to 1996.
The FD3S started from 1993.

All Cosmos came with auto transmission, so there is no reason to rev them that high.
The 13B-REW out of an FD3S has the latest and greatest parts.

Actually, almost anything out there cannot mimic the stock ECU control of the twin sequentials.

The stock twins in non-sequential can almost hit that number without having to swap turbos.

Sure, that's not a problem.

If you're only looking for 350hp, why not just get a s5 block, have it rebuilt and streetported, then just do intake, exhaust, fmic, injectors, standalone, etc. It will be cheaper and easier than trying to swap a FD motor in.

The cosmo twins will not hit 350 WHP, you would be lucky to hit 300 with a street port.

The haltech can controll stock twins running sequential, in a simplified sequential arangment. Go search the Haltech section for more info. The FD PFC can obviously controll the stock twins.

I am building an engine using medium streetport RE irons, with Rx8 hardended stat gears, eshaft and bearings, RE rotor housings, with REW exhaust inserts, rew twins as BNR stage 3's (still saving for that part) sequentially off a haltech, with REW intake manifolds, front cover, oil pan and basicly everything else. This enables me to use the mounts I allready have and am using with my RE block, to have the larger port runners of the RE (yes I will port match the REW manifold).
