correct me if I'm wrong. . .

Well I'm about to put my car in the shop for a while ( at mitchum enterprises which to whom I was referred) for the same cooling problem I've been having for a little bit. My 7's has a radiator from a nissan, proven because I did a little research. the housing for the cap has been broke off and sealed with a piece of metal and ATV sealant by the previous owner, and that's where I know my leak is because no matter how many times I try to fix it, it spews a little. The real problem is that when the coolant goes into the overflow, it's boiling and steamin. .and my radiator has hot and cold spots. It's a NICHI-RA or summin like that. The more I baby the car though, the slower the res. fills. I know that's from the leak. I'm pretty sure the radiator is not working up to par at all, and is my probem all together. No coolant seal failure signs at all. Is it the Rad? Any replacement suggestions, cause all I can find is ones with the cap on top. . I could route it and so forth, but with summer coming and taxes, I want the best!. . .Please Help!!!

I would agree with you. If your radiator is leaking your cooling system will not be able to pressurize correctly. this will cause overheating. I wouldn't bother fixing the rad, unless it has metal tanks on it (can be welded). If it has plastic tanks, just replace it.

that's what I'm going to do..It's a piece of scrap anyway. I'm pretty positive, find out for sure tomorrow, that it's not a coolant seal. . .and that's not just rotary owner denial. . No milky oil, exhaust and coolant smeel normal, bubble test came clean, and I'm not losing any coolant except from my leak on the rad. .what should i go with? koyo?
