Yea, I'm finding out more and more that I probably won't be able to run a presilencer, but a single cat is worlds better than the three stock I'm guessing tho. I want to be silent-er and/or emissions semi-legal, or else I would probably run a test pipe.
Took a picture of the end of the header from both sides. Remember my car was swapped from auto to manual so the transmission mount is farther back then usual but the transmission itself is in the same spot it normally would be.

I also included two pictures of the hanger that I cant find a mount on the body for.

I don't know if it's different between s4 and s5 or vert, if yours is, and coupe but I specifically looked at that today while I was standing under the car dropping the tank. In that first hanger pic, if you look right at the end of the hanger tip and then follow that straight up to the frame, just right of that bolt, there is a circular looking spot and that's about where my hanger "stud" is. But, like I said, I don't know if it's different between s4/s5 vert/coupe. Maybe tomorrow if I can get into the lab, technically only allowed Tu and Th, I can try to snap a pic for ya, no promises tho.

Thanks for the header pix, pretty much exactly what I was wanting, left one doesn't tell me much except that I count four cars lol. But, beggars can't be choosers and that second one is more than plenty. Again, thanks for that pic.

Is it a stud or a bolt? Any idea on the size and thread pitch? I found the hole in the frame but there is no stud/bolt in there.

I didn't mean exactly a stud, just like the part that you push the rubber hanger onto on the body.

So I think the PO removed the exhaust hanger brackets from the frame rail. Does the last picture look like the part that the circled hangers in pic 2 hang from? Pic 1 is the hole where the bracket should.

Can't edit my last post. But I figured out I just need a bolt mazda part number 9978-60-835. The brackets in pic 3 are for the back of the mufflers where the rubber donuts hang.
