Corksport Power series catback?
Hows it going everyone?
On my 87' base I am currently running a Racing beat header and pre-silencer, to basically a piece of 2 foot long pipe, that exits in front of my passenger side rear wheel well.
Needless to say it is very loud "really really really, obnoxiously loud" to quote a police officer who pulled me over about two weeks ago.
I didn't get a citation for the sound level but I would like to listen to my radio and save myself from any future infractions.
I searched before I posted this, and it seems to me that the corksport catback is a pretty good choice for me. I read it was loud though, can anyone tell me just how loud? (quieter than my car now for sure) And how it will sound with the RB PS?
Also am I going to loose any significant amount of velocity with the corksport being 3 1/4"?
Any info is greatly appreciated
thanks

I have the corksport exhaust. I have not driving the car with it yet. On idle it has a nice deep tone. When I hold it at 3 grand it has a nice sound to it as well. Not too loud except for a minor exhaust leak. I also have a cat on , so it would probably be pretty loud wiht you headers. Go on You tube theres a few vids on there with the CS exhaust.

I have a video search cmanns91
I love the corksport exhaust, the tone is great esp revving to 8k rpm WOT, mmm
I use a silencer normally, but if removed when you WOT people can hear a few blocks away lol
about the power loss, nay.
If your headers are 2.5", and silencer, good the corksport will just let the exaust flow better after I've noticed nothing but gains after getting a CS PS, my dad always baby'd the throttle and he has said it's much quicker even in the lower rpms.

well. if you have na, it will be louder than a turbo.
i run an apexi gt unit with a corksport muffled midpipe. its silent inside the car at idle, and it screams at wot. most people think im speeding when im not, but when the cop pulls me over, hes like.. whys it so quiet?

^You use their pre-silencer?
I've been thinking about replacing my cat with a borla muffler to quiet the corksport mroe so i dont need to use the silencer
I forgot to mention the in-muffler silencer also makes the car feel sluggish, dunno why

It is very loud. I have the full turboback exhaust, 1 presilencer 1 muffler, and it is obnoxiously loud. If you're going for the mellow tone, go with the RB stuff. Or get the CS unit, and if it's still too loud for your liking, get another silencer welded in.
