Corksport Mufflers/ not the catback

I am thinking about using the corksport mufflers and welding them to a custom y-pipe. Just wondering if anyone has done this? Also how was the sound, loud, deep? I will have a brand new stock main cat and precat 2, with a gutted precat 2. Finaly, I am pretty sure they are the same mufflers used in the RX-7 catback they sell. So they should be fine, but has anyone had a problem with the fiberglass packing in them, since I have heard you should only use stainless steeling packing in the exhaust for rotories.

Thanks

well that makes two of us. Yeah, I would do it right now, but I just spent a ton on a new engine, and new everything, so I am going to waiting until I get my engine running before I buy the mufflers and work on that.

The corksport muffler is not the same as the one they use in their catbacks. The one in the catback is like a 4.5" tip one I believe(not positive). The one they sell separate is a 3.5". Someone on here with the CS catback should be able to tell you how big the one in the catback is for sure though.

I have the catback sys and its 4.5" and damn loud! (ive already got 1 ticket for it) no cats straight from stock header.
Does anyone know If the Racing Beat Prescilencer is effective?

Its supposed to work fairly well. Might wanna just buy a high flow cat and throw it in there somewhere. They do the best at quieting the exhaust down. Or maybe a straight through muffler somewhere in the middle.

I went down there, he showed me the cat back vs. the generic muffler, and the generic muffler is a different size, but they can get those generic mufflers in almost any size that you want. I am going to have a generic CS muffler welded into a custom single exhaust with a right hand exit.
And both of the mufflers look very good.

yeah I don't have anything (not even a presilencer) besides a crappy OBX muffler the previous owner put on it.. it's LOUD as crap and I don't like it.

Had I the $$ I'd buy a real exhaust.

Are the generic mufflers fine for the rotary. Also could I contact them and get mufflers that have an 2 inch inlet?
