Corksport ECU upgrade experience

Anyone have any experience with the corksport ECU upgrade?

I was talking to them and:
  • It disables fuel cut (not by clamping voltage, but by actually removing it from the ECU)
  • It can be custom made
  • They're not sure if they can change the point the secondaries kick in (I want it earlier to ensure the primaries don't max out before the secondaries kick in)
  • It can be set to your specific fuel requirements
  • It only costs $269

The thing is, does anyone have any experience with this sucker? For stinking under $300 after shipping, you're doing pretty well it seems. Any ideas on this (and don't give me the "oh reprograms suck..." crap)

I'd be interested to know a couple things:

1) Will they guarantee that it won't blow your engine? (How many have they sold and have they recieved any complaints?)

2)Is there a discount if you want to get it re-tuned?

I've tried to get more detailed info on it from elp themselves, and it's like pulling teeth.

I have one chipped for a full exhaust and intake. The difference was fairly noticeable after I popped it in. Car felt more responsive and pulled a little harder. I switched it back with a stock ecu for another comparison and that made the difference even more noticeable. Sorry I can't provide any numbers or anything, but I've ran mine for a couple years now without any problems. Hope that helps.

Ya I had the same problem with Corksport. They could not give me any specifics. Then they just all together quit responding to my Emails. So I figured they must not have a clue. I told them my mods and they almost seemed to back peddle on their ECU upgrade.

so how do you reprogram the ECU so you can start the car again? or how do you start the car again since it's removed from the ECU?
