LMAO! I've noticed that as well. FD owners seem to be the only RX-7 owners willing to spend money. I'd buy a quality guranteed CS catback over a muffler shop POS anyday.

It doesn't matter how many people are or aren't making parts for FC's; if quality is an issue, people will complain.

And I suggest you look up the word "hatred" in the dictionary before using it again...

FD owners spend money because FD owners HAVE money. Most FC owners (myself included) are teenagers making $6-10 an hour working maybe 20 hours a week when not at school. Most of those guys with enough money to buy all the best stuff for an FC have enough money to buy an FD, so they do. Why the hell does everyone get all pisssy when we dont wanna shell out a month or two's pay on an exhaust when cheaper options are available?

I try to get quality parts that I can afford for my car. For about a year I'd wanted the RB exhaust, but around 1100 for the complete setup is a little bit radical for a 19 year old. Got a presilencer first, and like six months later (2 days ago) i picked up an RB catback, used, for a few hundred less than it would've been shipped to my door new.

We're not ALL cheap...

When they are properly secured, the metal around the screw will brake off due to the vibration. After you loose two, $20 isn't such a bargain anymore. I never replaced my last one.

I'm not 'cheap' persay, but an exhaust is basically a pipe. As long as it fits and its made of strong, quality material (stainless, for example), it's good enough for me. I'm not spending an extra 700 or so for that 'racing beat sound'. I just have to really weigh what ACTUALLY matters, and the exhaust pitch is low on my priority list.

You haven't "grown up" yet. Sound will matter. Its only little punk kids that hang out with rice boys that are "used" to the sound that don't care, most of the time. But once you start driving the car it starts to get annoying quick. Its not an Extra 700 dollars from CS(518) -> RB(789) Considering that CS is single and RB is dual you're paying extra first of all for the second cannister, Even without a clean cut comparo its only about 271 dollars difference. A second muffler from RB is 280 dollars. Its quite cheap if you actually take into account the REAL numbers.

I swear the deadbeats around here are sickening.

Corksport sounds awesome so does RB, Rb weighs more but looks right. Cs is lightweight, and it doesn't look half bad, itd look completely right if there was two, which is the point of this thread. I think CS is just as much worth the money as anything else, some people are being really cut-throat in here.

You do realize that bolt-on exhaust components (RB, Apexi and RP namely) are flow tested right? I'd say the main difference between just a "stainless pipe" and a bolt-on stainless exhaust system is the quality of the bends. Not only that, but exhaust note is also taken into account when a bolt-on system is created. I think that exhaust systems for the 2nd gen RX-7 are too expensive (CS excluded) but I also believe that you get what you pay for. The quality, durability and exhaust note of a system are all extremely variable when you pay a muffler shop to create a custom exhaust setup for you.

Staticguitar is 100% correct... CS is cheaper but you are only getting single exhaust... with our cars dual exhaust is an option and looks 50x better in my opinion. THis whole thread was about getting cs to create a dual thats all I want I want a company to creat a dual turbo back exhaust at 500 or under... SSautochrome was doing it and you can say they suck ***** or whatever you want but dont knock them untill you try their product. Their exhaust was extremely nice at 3" all the way back to dual mufflers. It was slightly louder than the RB but if you can deal with it then its worth it. All I want is a company to come out with dual exhaust for FC in a reasonable price bracket.

Hey if CS can do a dual exhaust for cheap, thats good but I still won't like the gaudy'ness of it all. I dislike any co. that will stand for gaudy products just so tasteless for our cars!

It's been that way for years already - sure, some people will spend a load of $ on their parts...a lot of us already have But, the vast majority of FC owners are young and do not yet have the means to dump top dollar on every mod. Hell, I bet most people here drive the FC daily...

I'm willing to bet that most people who SPEND on their FC's have another car to drive daily.

And for those of you who think you won't get sick of a deafening exhaust every day - you will. We all get older and eventually it loses it's appeal.

What the ****?

Who cares if he mods an NA?

Just because so many owners are cheap to a point where our aftermarket just plain sucks is grown-up. I don't have the most money in the world, but I would rather spend more to get something I want or like, just not saving 200 bucks for a shitty exhaust. These are the people that sell cars with tons of **** parts of which I have to spend hours replacing so its done right.

I went with the Corksport I know, but it was because I like loud, and I like CS' quality. Plus it was weight reduction for me. I wouldn't mind a Racing Beat. IMHO both are great products.

I got class, I'll rant more later.

Heh, I'll be the first one to admit I'm a broke ***.

And I'm sure I'm not the last one to admit that every penny I make ends up in that damn car, and I love every second of it.

Oh, and for you guys who are breaking silencers, that blows, quit buying new ones! If you need a new one send me an email to ryan@corksport.com and I'll hook you up with another one. I'll stand by my stuff, it breaks, was properly secured, then there's no reason you should have to pay for another one.

I'll get back on the bosses about making a dual exhaust for our cars, see if I can work something out again.

Believe me, I wish we made one too
