I dunno about the dual catback, I like their single just fine. The dual would probably end up looking like the the apexi duals, which I'm not a fan of personally.

I don't have a problem with CS stuff... except their exhaust silencers (I've blown out and lost two so far for two different reasons)
The CS single exhaust fits it's own little niche... I doubt there would be enough demand to make a dual exhaust worthwhile. The success of their single is based on how cheap it is.

You're actually right on. We've mocked up and prototyped a couple different designs of a dual for the FC but we couldn't get one that we could keep the cost down enough on without sacrificing something. We don't want to make crap.

I was going to make (and even had two examples running around) of a dual exhaust for the FC simular to the SSautochrome and Corksport ones.
But when I published here asking for pre-orders for the $500 dual system, so I could go ahead and make 10 up (my minimum to keep the cost at $500 shipped) I didn't get one person willing to put $200 down towards it.
And I sold a total of 5 of my single exhaust systems (at only $250 shipped)...
This was for polished SS cats back system, with 2.5" to 3" piping and a muffler(s) that actually had a rumble to them not a high pitched "open exhaust on a Honda" sound, and even included a baffle for people with no cats.
What a waste of time... FC owners don't want to spend crap on their cars.

Got any old pictures of it? I wouldn't mind seeing your design.

Yeah man i remember that stuff. It was ok for a person building it. I'd rather buy from Mark than from CS. *shrug*

i agree, whats your problem with corksport?? ive boughten countless things from them with no issues, everything is always top notch.
and damn mark, i never saw your exhaust either or i wouldve boughten it, 250$ shipped is killer for that 2.5" to 3" with a nice sounding muffler, i paid 250 shipped for my N1 single. also, i agree with you, 2nd gen owners dont want to spend jack on their cars, which is why most of the other guys (FD and other more expensive cars to buy and maintain) poke fun at us, i think anyways. and then they wonder why something breaks or their car doesnt perform as it should, etc etc etc.

The second one blew out, hit the pavement, and bounced over a full-size Dodge truck behind me. The silencer cracked off around the mounting bolt.
Lesson learned: CS silencers blow out whenever they feel like it.
Oh, yeah, and the brand-name plate fell off leaving behind four weld spots on the tip. Nice.
(I have no problems with their front or rear strut bars, or stainless clutch line)
Oh, and one time I asked them for a sticker for my toolbox... the invoice said "2 CorkSport stickers, white. free" but there where no stickers in the box.
I still have faith in them and order from them, but they have thier moments.

LOL! Maybe their phylosophy behind that one was "you get what you pay for :P "
Sorry just have to laugh at that. Sucks, but still funny

I don't see why there is so much hatred towards CorkSport. It makes no sense when they are one only a few companies out there that are actively producing aftermarket parts for our aging cars. Most places that sell RX-7 parts sell mostly FD parts it seems, and most places are outrageous on price. I've bought a few things from them (shift ****, SS clutch line, etc.) and have gotten it very quickly (2 days) and I'm on the other side of the country. I also have there PS exhaust on my car, I got it second hand and I am extremely happy with it. The thickness of the piping and the quality of the welds is nice, the THICK, big tip really sets it off. It may be a little loud, and it might cause a headache on a long highway trip, but that might be attributed to the fact that a Bonez N/A racepipe is in front of it. Maybe I'll put a resonator in its place.
Anyway, @ $289 for a SS exhaust, I don't see how that's a bad thing. Considering it is 3", mandrel bent, fits perfectly, and fully SS aside from the flanges, it's a deal! Also, take into consideration their selection of Mazdaspeed parts, MOMO, FD, SE3P, MX-5, and MX-3 parts.
As far as the problems with the silencers go, they are $17!!! If it falls out because you didn't tighten the bolts enough or use loctite, you're out maybe $20. The Apex'i ones are close to $40 and they aren't even SS....
