Cork Sport ?

This post is to get a general idea from anyone who has used Cork Sport to work on there car, I had them do my engine swap and things didn't go over as well as I expected and I am more or less asking how everyone else that has taken car's to them to be worked on were treated and find out how they feel about the level of service they received.

I have no intention's of coming on the forums and bagging on Cork Sport and down talking there mechanics I am just looking for some input from anyone else that has used them for service on there car and to see if they felt it was over priced for the work that was done and to see how they feel about the quality of service that was provided.

I took my 91 in for a TII convert. and walked away with a 7,800.00 bill, with this convert. it included new Stage 2 racing clutch, new exhaust (less the cat converts.) new trans, and a duel pod for oil pressure and boost, also a turbo timer which I was told is a "must have", after it was all said and done I drove the 1 hour 48 min home and on the way my home my speedo cable broke and my alt. belt came loose, so after I pulled over and tightened up my belt and continued my drive home, after I got home I put in a call to Cork Sport and was told that after the engine swap they used my old belts from my old engine so that may be the reason the belt's are bad, this is just a small portion of some of the issues I have had, but I would like your input on the level of service you have gotten from this company, I may have just had a bad experience.

I had an Tii engine swap done in the recent past on my '86 sport, and I am still very happy with the work they have done. I feel as though the price reflected the service quite well. It took them some time to acomplish my swap, but I figured its good not to rush such an extensive conversion, so it took a few weeks to get to my car, after a while of waiting for my turn. The only thing to note was an misunderstanding of the FMIC's construction: it was to be aluminum, but ended up being steel. Which isnt that big of an issue, so my plans have changed slightly on the coating of said FMIC...

My swap entailed of the s5 engine, w/ s4 electronics, mild port, FMIC, turbo timer, dual gauge pod w/ boost and oil pressure, 3" down pipe, and some other misc work that needed to be done around the car. Tranny and rear diff were changed quite a while ago w/ this swap in mind, so the bill was less than yours. If I recall it was around $6500 or so.
