cooling thermostat
Going to change my coolant. Is the thermostat at the dealer (at a cost of $20) really that much better than one from the retail stores (for $8) I heard that the cheaper ones don't last very long but the dealer ones are better quality.
Also, I noticed on my 1991 convertible that their is no air bleed plug for the upper raditor hose, but my 1988 has one. Looks like a replacement radiator in the 1991 (recently purchased the 91) Is there any problems with this. If so, any suggestions on how to handle this. I just don't want any air pockets in the coolant. Any help is appreciated. Thanks...

Man, that was quick. You never know on those dealer things. They want so much for parts sometimes. (actually all the time) That bleeder thing had me puzzled, since I have only had 87 and 88 rx-7's. It just didn't look right. Anyhow, thanks a lot for the help.

I'll agree for dealers wanting too much for factory parts. My bro got a set of S15 sideskirts for his S14 240sx, and a plastic endcap for the wheel well for one side cost $75... PIECE OF PLASTIC!!! But hey, can't get any better than the dealer!
