Cooling switch?

Hey there

I just sold my FC and I'm now looking for another one to buy. I found this '87 TII for $1000 but there is a cooling switch problem. Thats what a mechanic told the guy. He thinks its only gunna be like $100 to fix. I talked to him and it sounds like it probably is a cooling switch but I don't know much about cooling switches.

Think it's legit?

cooling switch??? On the climate control or the cooling system for the engine???

The stock engine cooling is controlled by a viscous clutch fan, with no switch
