Cooling problems help

Just wondering if this is a common problem? have tried searching.. my fc3s likes to get too hot during hard driving (track work) and most likely because of my aftermarket gtr front mount.. would fabricating some ducting from the front mount to radiator improve this?? Stock fan is gone in place of a 16" electric and all factroy shroud and ducting has been removed in the past. Any help would be great

One thing you have to realize is the stock fan has 100+HP behind it. The shroud is helpful in directing air. You should also have the bottom shroud on as well. I would try sealing all small holes and bypass that let air around the radiator. Maybe even going back to the stock fan would help. Clean out the rad aswell. You could also try some waterwet-er

what kind of fan? what CFM does it move? how is it controlled? The FMIC will block some flow to the rad, depending on setup. as far as ducting and whatnot, do you still have the underbelly pan? Im guessing not... I read somewhere that getting rid of the underbelly pan reduces effectiveness of the cooling system by ~20%. Since you track the car, i would get an aluminum radiator, you shouldn't have any problems.

is a 16inch electric fan controlled by microtech switches on at 75ēC. nope not under belly pan think ill have to make one up and seal all holes etc. i found a direct replacement 3 core alloy radiator maybe ill look into that too
