Unhappy Cooling Issues--Help!

For the past couple of months my fc's add coolant light ( and the god damned buzzer) has been goin on, then i add coolant then it goes on again after about a week. Checked for leaks and couldnt find any. Then About a week ago it starts to get hotter than usual when i start driving it then go back down to the normal range after a few minutes. (normal is about half maybe a smige lower) Well I read some thread about usuing that cooling system sealant stuff to seal off the water seals in the engine (which is what i think the problem was) I didnt really expect it to work, but hell anything to save from a rebuild. So i put the **** in and the next day I go to drive it again and it still heats up to hot (between 3/4 and the hot mark) but now it doesnt go back down. It doesnt go any higher but it doesnt go back to normal. I bring it back to my driveway and as its idling the temp goes down a tiny bit but not enough. I turn it off and It sounded like the coolant was boiling. I flushed the system and still the same results. Help Please!!!

Oh btw, which direction does the coolant flow? 1. Filler cap to radiator top hose through radiator to radiator bottom hose to engine, pump? Or 2. filler cap to engine/pump then to bottom hose then through radiator then to top hose? Thanks
