Cooling Fan Warning Light

I recently removed my A/C and removed the little electric cooling fan on the condenser too. I just taped up the wires (keeping pos/neg seperate obviously)

Now my Cooling Fan warning light comes on all the time, which is to be expected, but it comes on at random times, and will turn on and off for no reason (that I can tell)

since it's not doing me any good, I'd like to disable it, or at least fool it, does anyone know how?

Thanks,

I had the same problem. It would turn off/on and then it just stayed on after a couple of days.

Just take the light buld out.......it only takes like 5 min.

Doesn't cause any ill effects on the car (i took the relay out just to be sure)

How would I take the light bulb out? I'm sure I could do some guessing and checking with a screw driver or something and figure it out, but I'd prefer not to break anymore of my plastic trim.

Thanks again

the plastic trim will pull out. I think it's better to pull up with a screw driver then out. Then the rest is obvious.

The one in the idiot lights?

then it is easiest to just remove the bulb. It unscrews.

If it is the one in the gauge cluster, then just cut or disconnect the Black/Red wire at the back of the gauges.

You have a loose wire. Check the wire that connects to the temp switch on the water neck. If it comes loose the light will come on.

i'm pretty sure he's talking about the one in the idiot cluster. The exact same thing happend to me when i removed the A/C condensor fan and that's what i did.

The Cooling Fan light is only found in the idiot cluster that i know of.
