i have noticed in a few pics of 13b engines that they have removed the fan and fan clutch, and have an electric fan instead. is this good? do you get more power? cuase i can get an electric fan easily.
E-fans do not pull as much air as a working stock fan.
E-fans save little power. (They draw from the alternator instead of the fan belt.)
E-fans still need a shroud, but it usually takes less space.
E-fans are cheaper than replacing a worn out fan clutch.
My favorites- a used fan from a Tarus or Escort.

there is plenty of discussions about this on here
Do a SEARCH for "electric fan" and you will come up with a lot of results...With a properly working cooling system the E-fan from a Taurus(3.8L V-6) your car should run cool...the fan is dual speed--on high the thing puts out a lot of CFM's...
If your clutch fan is working you should stick with it--as it works fine for the job....
If you are wanting to clean up your engine bay, the efan helps...It also adds to throttle response!
If the Efan is installed CORRECTLY ie-using a GOOD QUAILTY thermostat(not the Autozone crap) and is wired to come on only when it is needed then the Efan can be used instead and a small gain will be aquired! Remember with a properly working cooling system the stock clutch fan is well suited for the job a long as it functions correctly...The Efan should only be used to replace a bad stock fan, clean up the engine bay, and/or improve throttle responce!
