Coolant side-wall help

I hate to ask this but after just buying a running motor to rebuild because my old one blew on the rear rotor. This running motor was disassembled today and everything looked great except a bit of the sidewall was missing. Can I repair this or do I need to buy more parts. the engine is an s5 na.

It just bugs me because I have never driven this car yet and every iron that was from the blown motor has the same problem. near perfect condition except the corroded side wall. So has anybody had any luck repairing these or should I just throw them away.

Need pic to give you an accurate answer, some cracks can be built back up with some epoxy. Others make the iron junk.

If the crack goes all the way through then its a goner, if there is still some wall left then a pic is required.

n/a Irons are C-H-E-A-P so don't worry.
