What sort of adapter would I need to buy if I am going to be using an S5 engine in my S4? For the coolant sensor of course. I imagine I also need new washers for my oil cooler lines, an I just order those from mazda? Is there a good thread somewhere I couldnt find that has any other small things i'll need while swapping an engine out?I know i'll need new intake gaskets too, but there isn't anything else I can think of.

 

Well, unless you plan on premixing, you have to swap out the front covers, too.
I would like to know about the adapter for the coolant temp sensor, too, though. I didn't know they weren't compatable until I had the engine in the car.

 

I'm blocking off the OMP and running premix.

 

I guess a better question is what is the thread size and pitch of the S4 sensor and what is the thread size and pitch of the S5 sensor so I can go get an adapter. Also what other parts should I get when replaceing the engine.
