Coolant Nipple...
Okay I got myself into a interesting bind. Friend took apart my intake...well to make it easier the entire Turbo side of the motor basically. Now something has come up that my friend had to goto Iraq sooo Im left with little experience on rebuilding this motor.
I have followed the Guide on Emission removal and everything so far is going well. My question now is there is a Coolant Nipple on the block that is directly under the UIM. If I am not mistake it can be eliminated as the UIM now looks like the one found in the Rotary Resurrection's website's emissions removal guide. Any able to let me know for sure if that can be plugged up before I continue on? If its not part of the UIM coolant where does that one need to be plumbed to?

It's not for emissions. It feeds coolant to the thermowax on the TB, which controls cold fast idle. Unless you're removing the thermowax you need to leave the coolant lines connected.

It also goes to the BAC valve to prevent icing of the pintle in very cold ambient temps. If either or both the t-wax or BAC are removed, the hose should go from the nipple on one end and the other end should go to the water return port on the water pump housing. You should not just "cap off" the port with a rubber cap, as it will deteriorate very quickly and cause an unexpected leak.
