Coolant Leak Found (Pic Included)

Car: 88 SE 105,000 miles

Just bought the car a month ago.

Found a leak today.

I have found it leaking under a hose in which I circled. Fluid could be running down the hose and collecting there, in which it would drop down. What is this and what do I need to look at/replace?

I haven't got time to jack the car up and stuff because I have to leave for church. Just posting this so I can get an idea of what I would need to replace.

Thx guys.

I know it's hard to tell me what's up. But I now know it's the heater hose that's in the picture. I felt the bottem on it, and it felt a little icky.

is it oil or coolant?? if it's coolant then it's that heater hose that is circled. they commanly break. the reason they break is the oil thing posted above. the oil drips down and ruins that hose.

go to mazda dealer and order a new hose for $20 or something like that. and get some new oil rings while you are like for like $2

Hey I own an 88 SE also that I just picked up a few months ago, oddly enough I had the very same problem. On my car the hose clamp was so tight that it actually tore through the hose. It waould also only start to loose coolant after it had got heated up. Just bought some coolant hose and new clamps from pep boys. cost around $15
