Coolant Leak: Found.. need some help.
Alright, so I started leaking coolant this morning.. found it, but I don't know what to do about it.
There's a metal line inbetween the rubber hosing (rubber hoses on either side of the metal line) for the heater hose, you know what I'm saying? It's the metal line that is cracked, it's dripping coolant... does a heater hose replacement kit come with the metal line? I was previously unaware that the heater hose had a metal line until this leak, that's why I'm so confused. Here's a diagram to help explain:
(radiator) -> ([from radiator] rubber heater hose piece1) -> ([from rubber heater hose piece1] metal line) this is where the leak is -> ([from metal line] rubber heater hose piece2) -> firewall. Got it?
Any one else have any bright ideas?
Thanks guys.

that is a heater hose extension tube to run it up to the firewall, you can only get it from the dealer or at a wrecker, if the pipe is rotted out close to the hose you could just slip the hose up further and reclamp it but chances are the whole tube is rotted out and is on the verge of leaking in other spots so i would replace it with a good shape one.
you could also probably find one cheap in the for sale section if you post a WTB thread since people generally leave them on stripped chassis bound for the wreckers, it is not a commonly needed part so a dime a dozen i would bet.
last i would suggest flushing the cooling system, sounds like it has had a bit of rust floating around in there that needs to get cleaned out.
