Coolant Issue during the winter....
Coolant Issue during the winter....
Short and simple, my car has been parked in the garage for a bit and we have gone through anywhere from 0degrees celcius to -35degree's celcius.... i today checked the coolant in my car and it was only good till -20degrees celcius!!!!
i'm kinda worried that i might have hurt something or will hurt something, it's in the garage like i said and my mechanics said it should be fine, what do you guys think?...
P.S. There's no way for me to change it or undo the drain plug and refill with coolant....

Go to autozone / advanced and get a coolant tester kit to confirm your corrosion & temperature protection. I think coolant is good for 3yrs/30K miles, but if the car's sat for a bit I'd want to confirm the coolant quality.
I believe oil is good for 3months/3K miles. I've read a 45min drive ever month helps keep the oil fresh, although I'm not good about doing that either.
You should also consider a longterm battery charger which keeps the battery fresh & prevents pre-mature failure.
