coolant bottle bubble...

so i pop open my coolant bottle and check for color and level. and i notice bubbles. they are small bubbles, once every half a second. and its constant.

what causes this? air pockets in the system? i notice my temp gauge is about almost halfway the whole time it doesn't get any higher than that. hmm, no white smoke only @ start up. i got a 13lbs radiator cap with a pressure release ****. and when i pull on this it pumps a lot of coolant back into the bottle. the car is a 90 t2 70k miles. could this be a coolant seal going/gone?

when i shut the car off i can hear the water sort of sounds like moving.

If you don't lose any coolant, it's not a coolant seal.

Could be a pinhole in one of a number of locations. Most commonly the hose between the pressure cap and recovery bottle.
