Ok, my coolant light just came on. I will fill up the coolant resevoir to full. Now is it also necessary to add coolant to the metal filler cap, ie not the one with the resevoir? Or is filling the resevoir good enough? Will it circulate once I just fill the resevoir? Thanks!

dont fill the resevoir past the full mark. when the system gets hot thats where coolant goes as an "overflow" spot and when the car cools off the resevoir will empty back into the cooling system. if the system is all full and you fill the resevoir, its just gonna spit out coolant in your engine bay through its little straw when your car gets hot. you can fill the radiator up to the top though.
