3500km? Not much for a new engine, I'd be suspicious.

And by the way, why did they make your exhaust ports the size of a whale sharks mouth?

Your apex seals got chewed up and those exhaust ports look crappy.

That was the first thing I notices as well. I'm also not a fan of that shape of port as is is very hard on the apex seal. Oval or somewhat tear drop shaped are best imo.

yea, lets put those exhaust ports down to a crappy engine builder. Why do you say the spark plugs are to hot? and whats better to run than stockers?

the race plugs are a better design, AND a colder heat range.

You have to insure the proper heat range though. Cold plugs make the car harder to start, and foul quickly, very quickly.

Oh, just to add, get rid of those housings. They totally screwed your exhaust ports up.

But its detonation that caused it OR was the apex seal getting caught on the exhaust port?

It makes a big difference.

Either the builders fault- exuats port theory
OR owners fault for not keeping an eye on the engines. -detonation theory

Were did you see a fuel map? i must be blind, cause i didn't see any kind of proof he was getting enough fuel, besides, ignition timing is a major engine killer, even with OK A/f.

Load up maps from the ek6, if you can.

Do you know what brand of apex seals? Looks like damn near all of them broke, on both rotors, Huh. Exhaust ports are kinda ugly...

Did the turbo survive?

What's your plans with the car/motor? Bummer. Something wasn't right, obviously.

the broken seals are the symptom, the cause is detonation/preignition
