IT'S EASY TO DO.....
we got an old car for $700 took the motor and trannie out changed the trannie from auto to manual and put back in. total 4 hours. make sure you locate a pilot bearing , 2 1/4? scoket , some big friends to help loosen the nut.
the car will be used as backup parts for the race car.
hope this helps

rx_7_driver, might I ask where you got the parts? $800 seems pretty damn good. was it a rebuilt tranny or just pulled from a parts car? also, what clutch?

tranny was pulled from a car it was rebuilt and had about 20-30 k on it after the rebuilt, the clutch is used (ran outta cash, but i am getting a new one )the tranny also came with drive shaft, clutch comonets, pedal, ect (basicly everything i needed except a starter) i had to buy a few other parts , like a pilot bearing.

btw the swap would have cost me about 600 if i didn't need a rad and other parts that were already broken and needed to be replaced
