Convertible top stopped working

After a day of spirited top down driving, my convertible top decided to stay down for the count. I tried to put it up last night and it didn't make a sound. I ended up putting it up manually. How do I go about trying to solve this problem? Start replacing parts? or is there a top secret way?

Does it still beep? I'd check the contact points at the ebrake. It's a little copper looking piece about half an inch long, easy to see. Mine gives me trouble down there every once in a blue moon and I take a pen and push down on it so it connects.

I fixed this on my wifes vert by cleaning the limit switch on the drivers side. Works everytime now...

No more beeps. So if it doesn't beep, are you suggesting cleaning the contact points?

If I put it back up manually by loosening the screws at the access point, is there anything extra I need to do?

The switch can go bad too. You might try cleaning or replacing it if the ebrake contact doesn't fix anything for you.
