Convertible Top Frame Lube?

Convertible Top Frame Lube?
The top on my '88 'vert is getting pretty jerky and sluggish. Is there an easy to lube the top frame pivot points, or must one take the top off the car for this operation?

You may need to re-tension the guide cables. I saw a post like this ~16 months ago and I think that was it.
I believe RETED or NZConvertible answered it, so mabey search by those user names.
I'm sure you can get the exact answer (troubleshooting guide) by looking in the service manual. Download that at:
