convertible stereo pics

Today i purchased an Alpine stereo set up for my 89 convertible. It's the Type_R 12 and a V-12 Amplifier. I wanted to see some pics of some set-ups of other peoples cars so that I could get an idea of what to do with mine. I do want to stick the 12 behind the seats in the hidden area.

throw the spare in the trunk, i have 3 10's in my hidden space along with 2 amps

rx: doesn't that make you wattage really uneven, two speakers on one amp and one on the other, you should habve gone with 4 10's or two 12's. Well....i shouldn't say that, im sure your setup is really good, however from an electronic standpoint it is very off center

He's prob running 3 subs on 1 amp and the car speakers on the other.

well i work with what i have (money wise too) one amp is a 500 wat amp, its running 2 10's, the other amp and speaker r from my old rex, they r both pioners, i don't even rember what size amp it is (thats how old it is) the only thing that sucks is the boxes r not too big, there just isn't much room in there. i plan on moving the amps to the trunk so i can make the boxes larger. i also cut the spare tire mount and bar for more room

I don't have any pics, but I've seen 2 setups I like:

1) Dual 10" under the vert's spare tire cover & amp board in the trunk

2) Dual 8" using the 90-91 "rear floorboard" OEM sub location.

Be sure to keep the OEM headrest speakers & AMP, because no other amps have the "spacializer" feature.

I aced all the stock crap. After 7+ years, the headrest speakers starting sounding like shat, not that they were all that great to begin with. The stock subs suck. Horrible location for speakers anyways. I have tried a few different setups since then and am happy with what I finally have now. One 10" sub right behind me under the cover with two amps and a 6-disc cd/mp3 changer. That is all hidden. There are also four- 5" speakers right behind the seats so I can hear all the subtle notes when the top is down Also the door speakers have been replaced with component speakers as well.
Since space, or lack thereof was a concern and I didn't want anything in the trunk, I was worried that a 12" sub wouldn't fit so I went with a 10". I did have to toss the spare, so now I have AAA tow insurance and a couple cans of tire repair gunk. I have since seen one with two 12's under the the cover, but all the amps were in the trunk. It sounded awsome. I think one 12" would have been just fine. Belive me when I say all you need is one sub. I heard another vert with two 10" and there was NO difference between ours, top up or down.

Thanks. And no I dont have any trunk space. I moved my spare to my trunk since I use this car to drive to college and back. It sits in the same place it does in a coupe. So now my small trunk is even smaller.

Also if you look in the pic of the sub you can see the harness that the headrest amp plugged into.
