Convertible Rear shock Q.

Hi Guys. I'm in the middle of purchasing a coil over kit for my FC convertible. All four of the original shocks are blown and im upgrading to some coils. I have looked around the car to try and come up with any ways to make it easier to install the coil overs, but it seems that the rear shock mounts are under the convertible top.

My question is:
What is the best method to removing the rear shocks from the mounts? Do I have to remove the top or can I just push things over to the side? Can I get to the mount from the trunk? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Adam

Remove the spare tire cover, remove the side panels that the spare tire cover mounts on back there, and you can get to the shock tops very easy.
