Contaminated clutch fluid with all new hardware

Hello,

so here is the thing, I just replaced my clutch slave and master cylinder with all new parts and the fluid that comes out of the bleeder screw is full with tiny tiny metallic chips just like a can of metallic paint. I used Castrol React DOT4 brand new from a sealed container. This can't be normal ?

Master/slave and flex line (braided SS) are new. The only old part is the hard clutch line that goes from the master to the flex line. I had this one well rinced with brake cleaner. To make things easier I bench bleed the entire assembly out of the car and used a clear vinyl tube with a (clean!) black plastic cup to catch the fluid.

This cant be normal ? I already flushed through 1/4 liter and its still metallic. Are those clutch cylinders bad ? This cant be good for the piston seals if they are running with this crap inside ? The liquid in the reservoir looks OK but what comes out the bleeder screw doesnt...

Since the parts are new the fluid is probably loosening up paint or coating in the parts.
Brake cleaner and Brake fluid eat paint so it isn't abnormal to see crud.

I'd run a couple cycles of new stuff through the system to be sure that you got the debris out.

I'll second this as well. New parts are often times made in dirty factories, so they get crud inside them.

Just remember that NEW stands for

Never
Ever
Worked

As long as you get clean fluid through it, you should be fine.
