what is this and why is it when it beeps i have no power steering?

 

power steering computer not getting signal.

 

how do i get it to get a signal?

 

do yo have power steering now?
is it intermittent?
is your speedometer working?
do you have an aftermarket steering wheel?
is the PS sender at the engine hooked up.clean connection?
..are you a Sagittarius?...

 

Hi guys,
Sorry for digging a 10yo thread but this is the closest i found to my problem.
I got an 87 NA FC. It has an aftermarket steering wheel.
When i bought it, power steering wasn't working at all. Nothing seems to have been messed with in the engine bay.
But when i went under the dash, i saw that the power steering computer was unplugged.
Plugged it back and bang : continuous buzz coming out of it and still no PS.

This is when i found misterstyx69's last post :

What does that tell you ?

Power steering fluid checked? and if very low , bleed the system as per FSM
