considering putting the damn air pump back in.... opinions?

im sick of toying with it, why bother rigging up something that'll cost 40-80 bux when i can put the stock 3lb air pump back on and most likely get the crap for free anyway. i see no ral point in wiring 5/6th ports and vdi when all im doing is killing low end and wasting gas. if the crap works right then my top end wont suffer.
now the real question is how do i route it back in? ive got a 88 ecu and body and a 91 engine. hooking the ports and the vdi directly to the pump will result in them opening too early right?

im not exactly clear on why you took your airpump off, but if you took it off to put on an exhaust system, why dont you just actuate the aux ports on backpressure a la the S4?
sorry if im off base for what you need, just trying to help!

i have no cats and a header as well. you just drill into the header, weld on a nut, and run some hardline out, make a T with vac hose from the hardline to the actuators. you should also put your O2 sensor on the header at the same time if you havent already. its not too difficult, and it will give you your aux ports back w/o having to use the air pump.

i was reading about some people just removing the whole 6 port unit itself and homemaking block off plates for s5's i was thinking of a similar solution that would keep the outside having ports and rods that did nothing instead of block off plates (just to have it look stock there) and chopping the rod short and jb weld stick the rods in without a leak with new accuator gaskets btw s4

on my s4, i removed the auctuators and rods, lock the sleeves in place and put in pineapple sleeve inserts.
To seal the leaks tap the holes for the rods and put in a bolt and some teflon tape. then put some block off plates and make sure everything is sealed up.

Use the air pump, two RPM switches and two spare emissions solenoids.

Um, what? It's very difficult to understand your posts since you don't spell, punctuate or capitalize properly.

Sorry hands are wraped. I had some cuts on my hands. Then i went to Home Depot. While there in the pool section I had picked up a bottle of liquid shock. Well needless to say acid in open cuts do not mix.

You can run both the aux. ports and the VDI off the ACV air dump hose, the one that comes out the bottom of the ACV. It gives the right amount of pressure to open both the ports and VDI on time.
