Considering parting my TII

Mods please leave this in 2nd gen as I am not parting it out yet, rahter seeing if I could sell it if I did...

So would there be an interest if I were to do this. This is a complete car minus the shortblock. car is in SUPER cosmetic shape both in and out, ask anyone whos seen it. I could sell the whole thing minus engine, but I feel that the car would be far more helpful to other people this way as well as more profitable to me.

Would this be worth my trouble?

Don't part it out, let it live. I almost parted mine out and I have resurrected her!. I feel so much better. Good TII's are harder and harder to find

Well, I actually thought of that, but Im sick of throwing money at it in the quest for more power. Ive owned a couple FBs, and a couple FCs, now I think its time I bought an FD. I figure if Im gonna spend all my money on a car, it may as well be as nice as possible, right?

If I could get a decent amount out of it as is, I would. Unless that happens...I dont think Im gonna sell it whole.

He'll be back (just wait 'til he starts paying big bucks for FD repairs/parts).

Yo,

Tsk tsk...no fortitude in the boy. You throw the GTUs Whammy on the kid...his motor blows...now he's ready to jump ship.

*wink*

I'm kidding bro...I wouldn't part it out...I'd just throw a new motor in...a stand alone...and call it good.

You already have a platform that's extremely capable, in great shape, and just needs a new heart.

Sack up and throw a new motor in there!

There's hardly any nice S4 TII's out there...probably less than FD's in your area.

In all honesty, I can't recommend getting an FD to anyone. They're money pits, plain and simple. If you thought blowing one motor is bad...try multiple motors in the FD. Nightmare.

I can understand the sex appeal of the car, it's gorgeous, but the FC has a certain appeal to it.

In summary: Don't do it!

Who am I going to tease if you leave?!

It's just a matter of been there done that...I want to move on. Dont worry Kevin, ill still be around to hound you and your infinite reliability!

Im just burnt out on this car, has nothing to do with blowing motors...

and besides, Ive blown 2...not 1

Don't kill it, your car is to nice to part out. I totally feel you on getting burnt out with FC's, I too plan on getting an FD as soon as I graduate. J-specs are only $750 just throw one in, and loose a couple hundred dollars, when I parted my car (s5 NA) and it was a huge pita, first stripping the car, than dealing with all the retards that are interested in buying parts, then when you sell them you have to worry about shiping.

I already have another engine to put in it...I am just tired of the car. Dont get me wrong, I love FC's and all...I am just ready for a change.

So what do you guys think the chances are of me selling the WHOLE car w/ the engine included....but with the engine out of it? Id be willing to do that and it has plenty of goodies to go along with it...

Its a complete car, just in pieces.

Why not just install the engine and sell the thing whole and running. It would be more work to strip it, and there would be one less nice TII on the road.
